Sleepy Shepherd Farm, Lunenburg, Ontario
Sleepy Shepherd Farm is situated in a relatively populated area in Eastern Ontario, with many neighbours on small plots, loose dogs, and a thriving coyote, fox, fisher, mink, and coy-wolf population. We raise and help preserve heritage genetics in Canada, focusing on Icelandic sheep and Tamworth pigs. We free-range waterfowl, poultry (geese, ducks, chickens, turkeys, pigeons, guinea fowl), beef, and dairy cows on 80 acres of fenced rotational pastured fields and forest.
Our dogs are raised alongside children, barn cats, pastured rabbits, and our chihuahua. We love the Gamprs versatility in both LGD work and their biddability on and off the farm. After over ten years of training and boarding pet and working breed dogs, Gampr has become our all-around favourite breed. They can fill every niche on our farm and in our family.
